regulate-  to control or direct by a rule, principle, method.
institute- to set up; establish; organize.
circumstance- a condition, detail, part, or attribute, with respect to time, place, manner,agent.

Regulate (noun)- I think that when the school regulates who can play sports they should do it based on grades.
Institute (noun, verb) - When I am governor of California, I will institute programs for education.
Circumstance (noun)- Under no circumstances should you leave school without permission!

Week 7 Vocabulary Paragraph section,theory,similar

I think what he means is that if u want to survive his theory is to change your lifestyle if its not right. Hes also trying to say that if your intelligent to, you wont survive just because smart. This saying is simialr to what most people say. Darwins section is good.

Academic Vocab- Week 1

Specific- having a special application
Compute- to determine by calculation.
Achieve- to bring to a successful end.


(The specific color I would choose it blue.)

Specific- The specific square root of 6 is 2.
               The specific street I live in is clariss street.
Compute- The technition came to my house to tell us how to compute our new computer.
                 My friend bought a calculator that can compute fractions.
Achieve- My achievement in life is to make a lot of money.
               The LA Lakers achieved the NBA championship last year.

The specifc idea  was to graduate from a regular high school. I had to compute from many classes but i managed to pass them. I achieved this goal and going back to chula vista high.

Week 7 Vocabulary Definitions & Examples

Similar- having a likeness or resemblance.
Theory- a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena.
Section- a part that is cut off or separated.

                                                                  Example Sentences
Similar (adj) - Ms. S can always tell when two assignments are too similar...it makes her very sad when her students copy off each other's work, rather than trying to complete it on their own and learn something!
Theory (noun) - Darwin had a revolutionary theory about evolution - we now refer to it as the survival of the fittest.
Section (noun, verb) - The hairstylist had to section off pieces of hair in order to only highlight the top layer.

Week 6 Vocabulary PARAGRAPH

One day they made a law that it is legal to drink beer if your over 21. But its ilegal if your under 21 and drink alchol. My personal policy is that achol is bad for you and nobody should drink it on the weekdays. But to legislate it you have to vote for it to be ilegal. They have certain people that can legislate the laws.
