Week 4 Definitions and Examples

Contrast (noun, verb)- the act of contrasting; the state of being contrasted
Critique (noun, verb)- an article or essay criticizing a literary or other work; detailed evaluation; review.
Persuade (verb)- to prevail on (a person) to do something.

                                                                Examples
Contrast: My new school was a good contrast to my previous one.
Critique: The movie critique I read had such positive comments, I was convinced to go see the movie that night.
Persuade: It is my goal to persuade all my students to quit smoking since it is bad for their health
